I’m feeling OK, getting quite tired and am just trying to relax as much as possible and enjoy the view of my lovely garden. I’m still happy to read messages and comments, but might not be able to reply, but it’s nice to know you are all out there.

Hello from your friends in Las Vegas. Enjoy your garden. We still have a few roses blooming here in the desert. We are thinking about you every day. All our love. We are thinking about you every day. Hugs to Lavinia and your family. greg & claudia

Simple pleasures, Richard. The best.
Your garden is beautiful, an outward reflection of the man. I think about you every day, I wish I could be there too, just sitting and watching the garden would be grand. Lots of love to you Richard

Dear Richard – Just wanted to say I’m thinking of you, Lavinia, Mary and Paul – sending my love and very best wishes. It’s hard to believe such a thing can happen to that amazing brain of yours that I struggled to keep pace with all those years! You taught me so much both inside and outside of STL and and made teabreaks endlessly entertaining. Good times. – John H.
Good to hear you, Richard. Watching a fieldfare eating the fallen apples in our garden today. Much love to you.

Christmas watching the garden sounds good to me. I saw a couple of chaffinches last week; haven’t seen those here for a while. The goldcrest is still my favourite – so small and elusive, but a delight when I happen to spot it. I wish you and your family much joy of your garden this christmas, Richard. JR-B
Envious of your garden. We have nothing but fat pigeons and squirrels here in Stansted. I hope you are seeing nicer things I’m your garden at sawbridgeworth. Like everyone else who comments you are continually in my thoughts. You brought us so many rich and wise thoughts. Wish I was as wise! Blessings to you both.
Hello Richard, the end of another Christmas Day, and I’ve been reading your post of 22nd Dec, and creating your bed in an imagined garden of rose petals – which is not really quite so imagined! That sounds a little convoluted. I hope that you and all your loved ones have found joy in those apparently simple actions. Much love to you and Lavinia xx
